What a performance! Once again the GT3 cars put on the show at the end. It was down to a splash and dash pit stop and 12 seconds after 23 and 50 minutes. #404 GlamRacing had to gamble on the #585 Volante Racing by Asetek SimSports also needing a pit stop in the dying minutes, but they didn’t and #404 ended up in second by some 30 seconds.

The rest of the GT3 field started out as a toss-up battle between #188 Teleforeningen, #777 DSR-GaddgetHuset.dk and the former DPi team of #1 Viadukten. Sometime past midnight and in the early morning hours the #777 DSR-GaddgetHuset.dk got away and made itself a strong candidate for the podium. Even at one time, they were threatening to take second from the #585 machine. But it was all to end very differently.

GlamRacing is now trailing Asetek Simsport by a full 31 points. But luckily it’s double points for Le Mans. That means, if #404 takes pole position and wins, they will come home with a healthy 54 points. But it means the #585 crew must not finish higher than third place. And if Volante Racing by Asetek SimSports takes pole position, finishes third and GlamRacing wins, then the #585 will take the championship by a single point. It just goes to show how important those single points for winning the race and pole position can end up being.
