Endurance eRacing World Championship Round 2: Overall standings!

The first round of the Endurance eRacing World Championship brought some great racing between the 4 classes of Hypercar, LMP2, GTE and GT3 field cars. Four teams managed to steal the spotlight back then heading into the second round of the championship. We already knew from the very first race that the battle at Silverstone would create some close racing and great fights between the classes of teams.

The Qualifying at Silverstone already brought some light to the race session — that it would create some exciting racing. The HyperCar cars fight between Omicron Racing and Drillers eSports already showed its teeth in the Qualifying Session — where Omicron Racing team came out as the winner — due to Drillers eSports was DQed from the Qualifying sessions — due to not following the rules in Qualifying. That made Omicron Simracing start in the very front of the field — where Drillers was set to start at P25. That didn’t make Drillers eSport all that scared and the car managed to crawl fast through the field and overtake the Omicron Racing team at 46 minutes into the race. Some impressive driving skills from Drillers eSports yet again and managed to hold the lead throughout the race and won by 5 laps totally.

Moving into the LMP2 field of cars — the 117 Varga Simracing, 17 Drillers eSports, 15 Deuces MotorSport and 334 Fair Simracing team — brought some exciting racing throughout the race — though Varga Simracing showed its consistency and strength throughout the race and took the win at Silverstone. Some of the most enjoyable racing in the LMP2 field — was the battle between Deuces MotorSport and Fair Racing team — which would go down the history books at EEWC 2021.

The GTE field of cars — Musto GD eSport #53 came out on top followed by 66 Volante and 45 DIS Simracing with a difference of 1 lap between the teams — made it all exciting throughout the race — all three teams are still very much a contender to the throne in GTE. Even though Musto GD eSport showed some great strength at Silverstone — it wouldn’t be easy for the team to keep the lead throughout the 2021-season. We still don’t know why 959 HM Engineering didn’t manage to show up for the race — And have now lost some important points in the Championship.

Lastly moving into the GT3 field of cars — The newcomer to the EEWC Series Unison Racing yet again showed great performance the entire race — which showed this team is definitely a contender to the throne in the season — yet there is still a mountain of obstacles to overcome: 12 hours of Sebring, 12 hours of Nurburgring GP, 24 hours of Spa-Francorchamps and 24 hours of LeMans — which is definitely not an easy task. But we can’t count out the 41 Mugen Simracing team, 404 Glamracing and 13 Danish Racing League which already showed great consistency and race pace at both former races. In other words: It ain’t over till the fat lady sings!

The countdown for Round 3 of the Endurance eRacing World Championship at Sebring has already begun — the American track is known for its bumpy track, long straights and highspeed turn 17!! — all can happen. Check back to follow all the action on March 5th — where the teams will battle it out for 12 hours.
